Early childhood experiences play a powerful role in shaping our lifelong physical and mental health. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) — such as abuse, neglect, or household challenges — can leave lasting effects that ripple through every stage of life. However, by recognizing and addressing ACEs, we can foster healing, build resilience, and create a healthier, more compassionate, supportive community.

Whether you’re an individual who has experienced trauma, a caregiver supporting a loved one, an educator nurturing the next generation, or someone passionate about strengthening your community, understanding ACEs is essential. Together, we can break the cycle of trauma and replace it with a foundation of empathy, strength, and hope.

Healing is possible. Our suite of programs offers tools, support, and community to promote recovery and empowerment.

Programs to Support and Heal Adverse Childhood Experiences

  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): 90-minute presentation teaching about risk and protective factors for ACEs, their outcomes, and prevention strategies you can use to stop childhood adversity and address its consequences.
  • Help That Helps: A presentation for parenting adults to help them learn about their children’s brain science, healthy parenting tools, and emotional regulation strategies.
  • HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences): A workshop that presents how positive experiences can ease toxic stress and help children and youth grow into more resilient, healthier adults. HOPE identifies ways that our communities and systems of care can better ensure that all children have a more positive experience and that families have support to nurture and celebrate their strengths.
