The Diabetes Prevention Program is offered a number of different ways to best meet the needs of all individuals. Read each description and pick which learning method is best for you. We offer year-long workshops in many different ways that start on various days and times throughout the year, so there is usually a type, day, and time that will work for you! Click on the box with the type of workshop you’ve picked and you’ll be taken to the page with upcoming dates. The sessions listed are information sessions that do not necessarily line up with our scheduled workshop start dates. Join us for an Information Session to get more details about the program, find out how to register, and details on our upcoming programming schedule.
Join a DPP workshop in a community setting along with a small group (usually less than 15) and a trained coach. Meet weekly together at the same place and time to learn how to prevent diabetes while connecting personally with your group members and coach. This method is best for someone likes to learn in a group setting and has reliable transportation.
This type of DPP workshop is held at the same time each week but is held over Zoom. All sessions are password protected and are never recorded. You’ll have access to the coach during class as well as support outside of class through email, text messages, phone calls, or personal notes. This type of workshop is best for someone who likes to learn in a group setting and has a computer or tablet.
This type of workshop is offered at your own pace. You’ll be grouped into online communities to give and receive support and encouragement but lessons are completed on your own time. Participants can message their coach through the app or website. This method is best for someone who likes to learn at their own pace and is comfortable with technology.
