April 2026 Update: In January 2026, Mike received a kidney transplant, a life-changing moment after years of fighting kidney disease. Today, as they approach the three-month mark, things are starting to feel different.
For the first time in years, Mike and Liz are beginning to plan without working around dialysis. They’re talking about things that once felt out of reach, from taking a honeymoon to buying a home and even starting a family.
