Since 1955, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan has led the fight against kidney disease. It’s at the heart of our mission . . . to prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it. Since 70% of kidney disease can be prevented, we must also focus on the root causes of kidney disease which are obesity, diabetes and hypertension, in order to help people avoid this disease altogether. More than 900,000 people in Michigan have kidney disease, and most don’t know it. With your help, we can change this.

As part of our commitment to leading the statewide fight against kidney disease, the NKFM is investing in its impact today and into the future through the launch of the Healthy Futures initiative. This $25 million campaign will leverage public and private resources to dramatically increase the programs and services impacting the health of Michigan residents today, while also building an endowment to support that impact in perpetuity. This investment will help NKFM scale its efforts statewide, increasing its ability to reach those at risk of kidney disease as well as those living with it. Your contribution through Kidneys on Track will stay in Michigan and help further this campaign. Charity Navigator has given the NKFM 4 stars, its highest rating, for the past 13 years. This puts the NKFM in the top 1% of charities in the country. The NKFM is also proud to have a platinum rating from Guidestar.
