The CKD internship program provides an internship (2-8 hours a week) with an NKFM office for people living with chronic kidney disease. The internship program can provide the opportunity for individuals to “test the water” in deciding about a possible return to work. CKD interns work in one of NKFM’s Programs, Services, or Special events and receive a payment stipend.

Who can apply?

People who have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stages 3 to 5, are on dialysis, or are a kidney transplant recipient may apply to be an intern. You must want to work in an office and have reliable transportation.

How to apply?

You can apply to the internship program year-round. To apply, please fill out the CKD Internship Application Form and mail it to the NKFM Ann Arbor office at:

1169 Oak Valley Drive
Ann Arbor, MI 48108.

Faxing details are also available on the form. If you have any additional questions about internships, please email patientservices@nkfm.org or call 800-482-1455.
